How do I dispute an OK Mobility damage claim?
OK Mobility prices damage from an annex to your contract and blocks up to €4,000 on your card. Ask for that annex and the inspection record first.
Before the due date
- Dispute both the damage and the amount in writing before the deadline in the claim letter, through okmobility.com/feedback or an official complaint form from the store, without paying or admitting anything.
- Ask OK Mobility for the signed return record, the original photos with metadata, the annex attached to your contract, the repair invoice or appraisal and, after a key-box return, the first inspection time.
- Match every item charged to a line in the annex attached to your contract, since OK Mobility's conditions say those annex prices are what appears on the invoice.
How OK Mobility handles damage found after return
OK Mobility checks the car after the contract ends and, if it finds damage, charges prices from an annex to your contract against your card block. The general conditions are one web page where you pick the pickup country and language. We read the car rental conditions for Spain, Italy and France.
The Spanish conditions describe the release of the block: “Una vez finalizado el contrato y realizadas las revisiones necesarias, en caso de no existir ninguna incidencia relacionada con el alquiler del vehículo, el importe bloqueado/retenido quedará liberado.” (Once the contract has ended and the necessary checks are done, the blocked amount is released if there is no incident linked to the rental.) OK Mobility Spain conditions
The amount comes from a price list. The conditions refer to an annex “donde se especifican detalladamente todos los posibles daños, robos y/o pérdidas y servicios relacionados junto a sus respectivos precios” (which details all possible damage, theft and losses and related services with their prices). They add that these euro prices are what is charged on the invoice issued in your name.
What OK Mobility’s terms say, country by country
Spain. The lessor is OK MOBILITY ESPAÑA S.L.U. in Palma de Mallorca. Pickup and return take place at the store where you signed, within its opening hours. A return outside those hours costs extra: “En caso de realizar el Check-in o el Check-out fuera de los horarios establecidos de la Store, este conllevará un coste adicional.” (Returning or collecting outside store hours carries an extra charge.) The amount is in the annex.
With the Digital Key rate you open the car with a link sent by SMS and email. At pickup you get the contract by email with the existing damage listed. If you find damage not on that list, you must tell store staff “antes de mover el vehículo” (before moving the car). At return you lock the car through a link and drop the key “en el buzón de llaves de la Store” (in the store’s key box). If you lock with the key instead of the link, the contract stays open.
Without OK Premium Cover, the card block ranges from €900 to €4,000 by vehicle group. The conditions also describe a deposit block that applies whatever cover you choose. For disputes, the parties submit to the courts of the country, “salvo las que versen sobre materias de Consumo” (except consumer matters, which follow their own rules on jurisdiction).
Italy. The Italian conditions name OTHMAN KTIRI CARS ITALIA S.R.L., based in Ciampino, as lessor. The rules follow the Spanish text: an extra charge for check-in or check-out outside store hours, and damage prices taken from “l’allegato” (the annex). The block without OK Premium Cover is “tra 950€ e 4.000€” (between €950 and €4,000). OK Mobility Italy conditions
France. The lessor is OK MOBILITY FRANCE in Nice. The block without OK Premium Cover is €1,100 to €4,000. The French text adds a rule on language: “En cas de différends, la version dirimante sera celle rédigée en anglaise.” (In a dispute, the English version prevails.) OK Mobility France conditions

Where OK Mobility damage claims are often weak
These checks only help if you did not cause the damage. If you did, the amount can still be checked: annex price or actual repair, the fees, VAT and loss of use.
1. The custody gap. The conditions we read set a fee for out-of-hours returns and a key box for Digital Key rentals. They do not say when the car is inspected afterwards. Check whether the damage record gives the date, time and place of the first inspection, and how long the car was parked before it.
2. Photos without metadata. The conditions do not describe how return damage is documented. Check whether you received original photo files with date, time and location, and whether they show the same car and parking bay.
3. An estimate instead of an invoice. The annex gives fixed prices, not a repair bill. Check whether the claim uses an annex price or an actual repair, and whether it names the annex version attached to your contract.
4. Fees above their own price list. Every charge should match a line in the annex. Ask for the annex attached to your contract, since the conditions say you knew its content before signing, then compare each item, including out-of-hours and cleaning charges.
5. Their own terms against them. With the Digital Key rate, your contract email lists the existing damage at pickup. Compare the claim with that list and with the damage you reported before moving the car. Check whether the claimed item falls under your cover, since OK Premium Cover waives the excess for damage, wheels and glass.
How to respond to an OK Mobility damage claim
- Do not pay and do not admit anything. Do not sign a damage acknowledgement at the store or by email.
- Dispute in writing. Use okmobility.com/feedback, keep a copy, and ask for an official complaint form if you are still at the store. Quote the contract number and dispute both the damage and the amount.
- Request the evidence a solid claim would have. Ask for the signed check-in or return record, the original photos with metadata, the annex attached to your contract, the repair invoice or appraisal and, for a key-box return, the time the car was first inspected.
- Check the card block and any debit. Compare what was kept with the block in your contract and the annex prices. If money was taken before you saw the evidence, tell your card issuer in writing.
- Keep everything dated. Keep the contract, the Digital Key emails, your own pickup and return photos and all correspondence.

Questions
Can OK Mobility keep my deposit for damage after I returned the car?
The general conditions say the blocked amount is released once the contract ends, the necessary checks are done and there is no incident linked to the rental. If OK Mobility keeps it, ask in writing which damage was found, when the car was inspected and which annex price was applied.
How much does OK Mobility block on my card?
Without the optional OK Premium Cover, the Spanish conditions describe a block of €900 to €4,000 depending on the vehicle group. The Italian conditions say €950 to €4,000 and the French conditions €1,100 to €4,000. A deposit block applies regardless of the cover you chose, so check your contract for your exact figure.
How does OK Mobility calculate the price of damage?
The conditions refer to an annex attached to the contract that lists possible damage, losses and related services with their prices in euros. Those prices are what appears on the invoice, so ask for the annex attached to your own contract.
Does OK Mobility's premium cover protect me from all damage charges?
No. The conditions say none of the covers include damage to structural elements, the underbody or interior and exterior equipment, and none apply to damage caused by the renter's negligence. OK Premium Cover waives the excess and the settlement fee for damage, plus wheels and glass.
Where do I complain about an OK Mobility damage charge?
The conditions point to okmobility.com/feedback and say every OK Mobility location has official complaint forms that staff hand out on request. Put your dispute in writing, keep a copy and ask for a complaint form if you are still at the counter.
