They say you damaged the rental car.
Prove them wrong.
Upload the claim they sent you. In minutes you'll see exactly where it is weak, and get the letter, the evidence pack and the chargeback kit that end it.

We did the legal homework for six countries.
For rentals in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal we researched the law that decides these claims: who has to prove what, which contract clauses do not hold, what a company may actually charge, how you get money back from your card, and where free help exists. Every point checked against the official sources, re-checked every six months. Rented somewhere else? Tell us where and leave your email.
Six countries are covered today. For any other, we ask for your email and add it by demand.
Rental companies count on you not reading their paperwork. We read all of it.
- 01, UploadTheir claim. Your photos. Two minutes.
Drop in the claim email, invoice, damage report and rental agreement, or forward the email to the case address every rental gets. Photos from the guided capture, or the ones already in your gallery: we read time and place from the files and sort them ourselves.
- 02, ForensicsWe verify what they hope nobody checks.
Photo metadata and GPS on both sides. Dates that contradict each other. Fees above their own price list. Their current terms, read against the claim.
- 03, SendOne letter that demands the evidence they don't have.
In the language of the company, with the legal basis for the country you rented in, plus a chargeback kit for your bank and a step-by-step escalation plan. A person checks every letter before it reaches you. If they write back, forward it and get the grounded reply: same facts, same proof, same legal basis.
The same five weaknesses, claim after claim.
In consumer rental law the company must prove the damage happened during your rental. Most claims can't, and their own documents usually show why.
- The custody gapReturned Sunday, inspected Tuesday, moved in between. Attribution breaks.
- Photos without metadataTheir portal strips timestamps and GPS. Your originals keep them. We verify both, byte by byte.
- An estimate, not an invoiceDeductibles billed as flat fees, VAT on repairs nobody made, downtime for a 3 cm scratch.
- Fees above their own price listProcessing fees and idle-time charges that exceed the tariffs printed in their own terms.
- Their own terms, against themFault-only liability. Debits that require a signature you never gave. Objection periods they skipped. We read the current terms so the letter quotes them back.
"I got a €1,320 invoice three days after dropping a key in a box. Being sure I hadn't damaged the car won nothing. Reading their own paperwork did, and the claim was gone in 24 hours. Then my sister-in-law got one. RentalProof is that method, for everyone."
- Every legal citation verified against the primary source, nothing from memory.
- Only arguments the evidence supports. We don't help anyone dodge damage they caused.
- Not a law firm: software, forensics and documents. For the rare case that escalates, a partner lawyer takes over at a fixed price.
Thirty seconds of proof beats an hour of arguing.
The RentalProof app guides you around the car at pickup and return. Every photo is timestamped and sealed the moment it's uploaded, so nobody can question when it was taken. If a claim ever comes, your evidence is already in the case: one tap opens the Dispute Kit, and we do the full forensics, the letter, the evidence pack and the chargeback file for you.
Behind it is extensive legal research: verified statutes and cases renters have won before, in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. We know how these claims are built, and where they fall apart.
One honest limit: proof only helps if the damage really was there before you drove off. It documents the truth, it does not create it.
The check is free. The kit costs less than their processing fee.

Before you upload
Is this legal advice? Do I need a lawyer?
No, and most cases never need one. RentalProof is software: it reads your documents, verifies the evidence and generates the letter and files you send in your own name. That letter is what ends claims: the reference case was closed in writing within 24 hours of sending. A partner law firm exists for the rare case that escalates, at a fixed price. It is the exception, not the product.
Which countries?
Rentals in Germany, Austria, France, Italy, Spain and Portugal. For each of them we did the legal research: what the law says on proof, on unfair clauses, on the amount and on card refunds, checked against the official sources. Rented somewhere else? Pick your country at the top and leave your email: the next country is chosen by demand, and the check tells you honestly when yours isn't covered yet.
They already charged my card.
Then the kit adds a chargeback file for your bank and a refund demand with statutory interest. Time matters here, card disputes have deadlines that run from the debit, not from when the company answers.
What if I actually caused the damage?
Tell us. The method still helps: we check whether the amount is fair, repair costs, fees, downtime, VAT, and never argue what the evidence doesn't support.
Can I just forward their emails?
Yes. Every rental in your account has its own address. Forward the company's emails there, attachments included; they are filed on the rental, the facts are read out, and the first one registers the claim by itself.
I took photos myself, without the app.
Add them from your gallery. We read the time and place inside each file, sort the photos onto the sixteen views of the guided capture and tell you which views are missing. Original files only; screenshots and messenger copies have lost their metadata.
What happens when the company writes back?
Forward their answer or upload the letter, then press one button. The reply answers each of their arguments with the proof and the legal basis, without moving from the first letter's position, and a person checks it before release. Every round works the same way.
